Distributed Amplifiers Offer Unique Positive Gain Slope - Operate to 40 GHz

We've added two unique distributed amplifiers to our performance leading standard product line.

The CMD242 distributed amplifier features ultra-wideband performance from DC to 40 GHz while delivering 10.5 dB of gain with a flatness of +/- 1 dB. The noise figure of the CMD242 is 4.4 dB, with an output P1dB of 18 dBm and OIP3 of 27 dBm at 20 GHz. With a low current consumption of 100 mA, the CMD242 leads the market for the broad frequency and high dynamic range requirements.

The CMD244 distributed driver amplifier covers DC to 24 GHz, with a unique positive gain slope over frequency range. The positive gain slope feature decreases the requirement for equalizer circuitry, saving SWaP in many communications and measurement designs. The GaAs MMIC has a P1dB of 25 dBm, OIP3 of 32 dBm, 8 dB of gain and a noise figure of 2.5 dB at 10 GHz.

Wideband LPNAs Deliver Extremely Low Phase Noise

We've added a new category to our rapidly expanding standard product offerings. Our new GaAs MMIC Low Phase Noise Amplifier (LPNA) family offers previously unattained phase noise performance. Phase noise is a critical requirement which defines the performance level of most radars and communications systems. The five product family achieves phase noise performance as low as -165dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset. They are used in Local Oscillator (LO) and high sensitivity receiver circuits for military and instrumentation applications. The MMIC family includes three die and two QFN packaged MMICs covering 6 to 22 and 30 to 40 GHz. Only a single positive power supply of 3 to 5 volts is required for these self-biased amplifiers.

DC to 22 GHz Wideband GaAs MMIC Distributed Amplifier Exhibits Excellent Dynamic Range at Low Power

We've added a new distributed amplifier to our market leading portfolio of Broad Range Distributed Amplifiers.

The ultrawideband DC-22 GHz performance of the CMD240P4 distributed amplifier is accompanied with a low noise figure of 2.2 dB and +28 dBm IP3. The performance levels of this device make it suited for an extremely wide range of applications, including electronic warfare, SIGINT, military radar and instrumentation.

The CMD240P4 also provides flat, stable gain of 15 dB and a 1 dB compression point of +19 dBm. An additional benefit of this GaAs MMIC distributed amplifier design is the integrated 50 Ohm matching at each port, eliminating the need for external RF port matching.

The CMD240P4 operates with a single positive bias voltage from 3 to 8 V, and requires only 80 mA of bias current. The distributed amplifier comes packaged in a Pb-free RoHS compliant 4x4 QFN package with a wide operating temperature of -40 to 85 °C.
