The Custom MMIC team is proud to announce that Paul Blount, President and CTO of Custom MMIC, will be presenting his paper, Conquer Phase Noise in Radar and Communications Systems at EDI-Con 2017. Paul’s presentation will be taking place on Wednesday, September 13th in room 108 from 10:20 - 10:50.
Paul will provide insight into the contributions to Phase Noise from common signal chain components and discusses semiconductor typology issues related to key phase noise factors. From reducing range and velocity resolution of modern radar, to increasing the bit-error rate (BER) and reducing data throughput of high-speed wireless communications, Phase Noise is a pervasive challenge in modern RF/microwave engineering. Based on his knowledge he will about component selections that are optimized for low phase noise performance for systems that require the lowest phase noise possible.
