DC to 20 GHz Distributed Amplifier Offers Low Noise Figure of 2 dB at 10 GHz

The CMD173P4 is a GaAs MMIC distributed amplifier operating from DC to 20 GHz that delivers greater than 15 dB of gain with a corresponding output of 1 dB compression point of +18 dBm and noise figure of 2 dB at 10 GHz. Housed in a leadless 4 x 4 mm plastic surface mount package, the CMD173P4 also utilizes an on-chip pinch off tracking circuit to ensure consistent performance over temperature and process variation. The CMD173P4 is a 50 Ohm matched design that requires some off-chip components to complete the bias network, which is typical of this amplifier topology.

Suitable applications for the CMD173P4 include microwave radio systems, telecom infrastructure, test instrumentation, and military EW subsystems.

4-10 GHz Driver Amplifier Offers High Output Power, Low Current Consumption

The CMD191C4 is a GaAs MMIC driver amplifier housed in a leadless, RoHs compliant, 4x4 mm surface mount package. It offers high output power and low current consumption.

Ideally suited for complex communications systems where small size and high linearity are needed, the device operates from 4 - 10 GHz and delivers 20 dB of gain with a corresponding output 1 dB compression point of greater than +21 dBm. It is a 50 ohm matched design, which eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching.

The CMD191C4 is biased with a single 5.0 V positive drain supply. RF power can be applied at any time.

Suitable applications include WiLAN, C and X Band communications systems, and military end-use.

GaAs MMIC Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) MMIC Operates from 33 to 45 GHz

The CMD190 is a highly efficient GaAs MMIC ultra low noise amplifier (LNA) MMIC for applications from 33 to 45 GHz. This amplifier delivers greater than 19 dB of gain with a corresponding noise figure of 2.1 dB at 36 GHz. The CMD190 is an all-positive bias design, thus eliminating the complicated and costly negative bias sequencing circuits while also simplifying board layout. In addition, the use of an on-chip pinch-off tracking circuit ensures consistent performance over temperature and process variation.

The CMD190 is a 50 ohm matched design, which eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching. It offers full passivation for increased reliability and moisture protection.

Suitable applications for the CMD190 include: point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, as well as military and space applications.
