Our commitment to serve rf/microwave communication system designers with readily available high performance space qualified MMICs is unprecedented. Our first class MMIC’s have been designed with the highest quality and long term reliability in mind and when paired with our customer oriented qualification service, the choice to use our devices for space and high reliability applications is clear.
Nearly all of our commercial off-the-shelf (COTs) MMIC die products are able to be qualified to MIL-PRF-38534 Class K, or could be hermetic packaged and qualified per MIL-PRF-38535 Class S. The space qualification elemental evaluation is either performed internally by Custom MMIC, or through our trusted subcontractors. In addition, Custom MMIC can develop and qualify a custom MMIC device for space as needed.
Several of our MMIC products have already undergone the rigorous high-level visual inspection, burn-in, 1000-hour life test, 100% elemental electrical results, and wafer lot qualification needed for approved space screening. For example, the CMD162 Ka-Band LNA has heritage, having completed Class K qualification and was launched in a major communications fast broadband satellite in 2015.
