Senior RFIC Design Engineer, Custom MMIC Design Services, Inc.
Job Description:
Custom MMIC Design Services (CMDS), a leading independent microwave and millimeter wave circuit design center, seeks an experienced Senior RFIC design engineer to join their design team. The candidate should have a strong background in high frequency integrated circuit design (especially above 5 GHz) using a variety of GaAs semiconductor processes including, but not limited to: MESFET, PHEMT, mHEMT, and HBT. The candidate must be able to handle all aspects of circuit design, from specification review to simulation, layout, and prototype testing. Experience in amplifiers (low noise, drive, power), mixers, switches, phase shifters, and/or attenuators is required. This position requires significant independent work with minimal supervision. US Citizenship is required.
Experience, Skills and Education Required:
10+ years of RF Microwave and Millimeterwave MMIC product development with strong technical skills and BSEE degree (MSEE preferred) are required. Additional requirements are:
- Strong fundamentals in electronics and circuit design – DC through millimeter wave applications
- Experience in RF circuit design – switches, amplifiers, converters, phase shifters
- Experience with the following software tools: Cadence, ADS, Matlab, Sonnet, TAS, Excel.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Experience working with high frequency test equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, synthesized signal sources, and wafer probers.
